Great Books, Great Minds Global Bookstore Tour: The Hermitage Bookstore, Denver, Colorado
Great Books, Great Minds bookstore tour stop #6, The Hermitage Bookshop in Denver’s Cherry Creek North district has long been a favorite of mine. In fact, I recently did a feature story on the owner Bob Topp, who is one of my favorite people on the planet.

My only problem with Bob is that whenever I come into his store expecting to purchase one book, I end up with thirty-seven.
Kidding. Sort of not
On my most recent visit for the tour, I immediately located this book and decided to purchase it.
My interest in it was in part stoked by a recent article I wrote on the Harlem Renaissance for Libertarianism.org.
Bob, however, is a fun conversationalist. Nothing wrong with that except, if you start conversing with him on a book theme, he is always happy to offer an additional recommendation. Or thirty-seven.
So, we started talking more in-depth about the Harlem Renaissance as well as the Black Pullman porters, another theme I recently wrote about that’s scheduled to go live soon. Suddenly, Bob saunters off into his repository of books before returning with two more recommendations. He knows that I can say no to either.
