Have Books, Will Travel
“I always have to live life to its fullest, because I don't want to die wishing that I did!”— Katrina Stotesbery
Meet my friend Katrina. We crossed paths in 2014 at a Denver area Starbucks. She’s now been employed by this legendary coffee retailer for over 20 years.
She is one of a kind — free spirited, edgy, full of life, and always up for a chat about some wildly esoteric topic.
The grind of coffee beans aside, she is also very nomadic. Her raison d'être is traveling and embracing abundant life experiences. Whether traversing the streets of Croatia or taking in the upbeat lifestyle of New Orleans, Katrina enjoys wandering into the unexplored any chance she can get.
Katrina is also an avid reader of books from many genres. Recently she shared this poem with me that I’d like to share with you. Take a moment to reflect on what it means. We’d love your thoughts in the comment section below.
I always read before bed hoping it evokes a dream
I love this. She does a beautiful job of telling us how books take her to “fantasy land” ....
Me too, when I write and read it helps me get through so much, it relieves my pain almost immediately
