Please share a little about you, your work with BookThinkers, and what led you to write “Rise of the Reader"?
When I was 21 years old, I discovered the power of personal development books. As I started sharing my book reviews on Instagram under the handle @bookthinkers, readers started joining my community.
Over the years, the community grew to over 150,000 readers and over 1,000,000 impressions per month. Throughout that journey, I have received the same questions about implementing more from books hundreds of times, so I decided to write the book on the subject!
Can you provide us with a sneak preview of the book’s primary theme or message? And who is your book ideally targeted towards?
This book is for motivated young-professionals who are looking to implement more from the books they're reading. I share dozens of strategies for better reading, note-taking, and implementation.
What has your own book lifestyle been like? Do you prefer hardback/paperback, audiobooks, digital books, or a combination?
I read about 100 books per year and I strongly prefer physical paper books. Since 80% of the inputs to our brain are visual, it is important for me to read in the format that can change my life the most. I do enjoy audiobooks, but they only make up about 25% of the books I'm reading.
Can you share with us a couple of authors/books that have had a major impact on your thinking personally and professionally?
My favorite authors are Tim Ferriss, Alex Hormozi, Ryan Holiday and Malcolm Gladwell. Each of them has had a big impact on my brain!
Describe your greatest hope in terms of what readers of your book will walk away with.
My greatest hope is that readers will walk away with life-changing strategies for getting more from the other personal development books that they're reading!
