Welcome to “Great Books, Great Voices” a weekly podcast where we aim to ignite a new world of community, connection, and conversation, one author at a time.
Our guest today is Jason Voiovich, author of the book Booze, Babe, and the Little Black Dress: How Innovators of the Roaring 20s Created the Consumer Revolution.
Throughout his career which spans more than 25 years, Jason has launched hundreds of new products – everything from medical devices, to virtual healthcare systems, to non-dairy consumer cheese, to next-generation alternatives to the dreaded “cone of shame” for pets, to sex aides for cows (really!)
He is a graduate of both the University of Wisconsin and the University of Minnesota, and has completed post-graduate studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
In this episode, Jason will share some epic stories from the Roaring 20s and how this period led us to become addicted to mass consumerism and the shopping experience.
