Is Another Pandemic Shutdown Looming? No Worries, Says Bestselling Author Jason Gregory.
Just Wander And Learn About Yourself
Throughout the pandemic, Jason Gregory and his wife and co-host Gayoung have been busily roaming throughout Asia, embracing a Taoist-inspired lifestyle. During their travels they have immersed themselves in the spiritual traditions and meditative practices of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism, visiting some of the most remote places on the planet.
Now with another set of mandates being proposed globally, the two have a simple message for making peace with the forever-changing public health narrative…...
…………..“Embrace Wandering as a Spiritual Practice”
This may at first sound counterintuitive. Yet they are quick to point out the presence of wandering as a central theme in Taoist and Buddhist traditions. Specifically, it is littered throughout the Tao Te Ching, a centuries-old Chinese text containing the fundamental core of Taoist philosophy
“Cloud Wandering,” as it is known, forms the basis of physical wandering as a spiritual practice. As a perpetual nomadic soul, this dance with life has long resonated with me.
Even at the height of the pandemic, I was on the move to cities like Chicago, San Diego, and Las Vegas. While at times feeling outside of my comfort zone traveling during a global health crisis, I simultaneously encountered an odd sense of peace of mind amid my nomadic ways.

Gregory is currently writing a new book entitled Spiritual Freedom In A Digital Age which explores how to remain healthy and sane in a world gone mad.
He asserts that those who remain locked into a familiar lifestyle or mindset don’t develop at the same speed as people who are moving around, taking in other cultures and experiences.
Notes Gregory: “If you stay in one area or environment your whole life, there is something you kind of miss because you don’t step outside of your comfort zone.”
He encourages us all to be Yogi-like even amid the restraints of the pandemic.
In many respects, Covid-19 has forced many of us to acknowledge the uncomfortableness of roaming outside of our comfort zone. Gregory says that despite the uncertainty and discomfort associated with this, wandering is a critical part of our evolution, allowing us to be an observer and witnesses to our own lives outside of the matrix.
He offered this concluding thought: “If you never wander, you never get to learn about yourself.”
