“One Woman’s Obsession With Leather,” the “Great Books, Great Minds feature article that appeared in December of 2022 continues to garner a ton of interest. In fact, it a very short time it has rocketed to among the top three most popular articles of all-time on the site.

Now author d.e.n.i_c  is back with a tell all about the soaring success of her book along with the transformative impact leather has had on her life.

Where She Resides: Paris, France

Core Values: “Honesty, Openness, and Respect”

Favorite Quote: “Be yourself, everyone else is taken” by Oscar Wilde

Favorite Book: “Hard to choose one, as I have a few. The most intense is probably Night by Elie Wiesel.  I clearly remember the moment when I finished this book. Sitting in my room, looking at the book cover, breathing slowly, I wanted to cry and shout. I immediately wanted to do something to ensure that what was described in the book would never happen again. It’s a very powerful read. I have read many books about genocide and concentration camps but this one was above all others.”

Favorite Bookstores: “I love photography and art books so I could spend hours at Taschen Bookstore (in Paris or Berlin) as well as at Azzedine Foundation and Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin.”

Preferred Wine or Cocktail: “My preferred drink is Champagne; my preferred wine is white, dry and mineral — it could be Sancerre or Greek wine from Santorini; and my favorite cocktail is Gin Tonic of which I am VERY demanding of the tonic.

Impact of Reading On Her Life: “I read a lot of autobiographies, mostly stories of women who needed to overcome difficult situations which in the end made them more powerful. I didn’t survive genocide nor marry the President of the United States (yes, I did read a book about Michelle Obama). But for me there is something similar in these stories where women suffer or need to find a place in a man's world. Reading real stories gives me the courage to find my own place, develop my personality and above all, encourage and help others to discover the power of leather.

Now for the rest of her story…..
