What happens if you do all this and still spend too much on books? Asking for a friend.

I recommend making friends with other book-lovers. When I’m really excited about a book, I give it to someone else - sometimes I buy multiple copies to give to several someone elses. I do this because I want them to read the book and talk to me about it. 😬 😉 it works about 35% of the time, but it does result in free-to-them books.

Thanks Joel. Although I suspect that I’ve now subtly revealed my own spending proclivities. 🤨

Thanks, Michael, for this important article. As you know, I am a big user of our library services. According to library records, my wife and I have saved over $25,000 by using the library which doesn’t include a few thousand more with Libby.

WOW! That’s so cool Marc that you’ve tracked the return. Just yesterday after a visit to our local library, I vowed to use it more and more.

I know inde authors who place their books into those little free libraries as a geurilla marketing technique. You may find a unique read in there.
