Yes, Alexa. It’s set to be released in September. I was gifted with an advanced copy. This is one of the perks that comes with my work as a book critic.
This book looks so inspiring. Artists can inspire creativity and unique thinking in all different kinds of sectors. I'm always looking at this through the lens of addressing mental health in creative ways but of course the bigger healthcare system is in great need of this kind of creative change. A little tangential but this post makes me think of the work that Hospital Rooms is doing: https://hospital-rooms.com
Inspiring reads form you recently that directly confirm my own path as an artist. Moving into creativity and curiosity have the power to help us break out of the confined boxes and stuck ways of being. This is a macro and micro deal. What we can do individually to heal ourselves can be retracted out to larger organizations. I am thankful through my experience, my husband, a hospital executive, has been learning along the way and using my insights, expanding on them and applying them to the hospital system he works in. First to heal the way that people in his organization work together. By healing the people and systems we work in, we are granted a capacity to expand our awareness since we are more at ease in relationship and co-creating. Time will tell but the mending is felt within me and my family and reflected back by my husbands employees and colleagues. Thank you for the recommendations for new reads that align so much with the art and life I am creating now. You are awesome!
Thank you for your kind words Rae. I, too, am embracing the realm of creativity as it relates to my work. In fact, I was just reading the recent edition of Fast Company Magazine which I find to be an infinite source of creative ideas.
